Funerals
St Michael and All Angels is very happy to help you
in any way possible at a time of grief and loss. Judith, our Minister
has years of experience and expertise in this area and is happy to
assist and companion you. Judith would be available to perform a
thanksgiving service for a loved one, and, if desired, attend at the
graveside.
Please be assured that if you do not have any affiliation with a
church, you will be made very welcome here. Judith will consult with
you to develop a beautiful service, including what you and your loved
one would want.
A funeral service can include a tribute/eulogy and/or a
review of the deceased’s life and times, presented by Judith
or one of the family members or a friend. It may also include a time of
reflection, readings, prayers and songs, candle lighting, music and/or
an audio visual presentation, usually taking around 30 –
40mins. If you prefer it can be very simple too.
St Michael and All
Angels Church comfortably seats 300 people and refreshments can be
served after the service. This reduces the added strain of providing
refreshments at home if you wish. We have highly recommended caterers
who can provide anything from a simple cup of tea and biscuits to full
professional catering.
St Michael and All Angels work with many Funeral
Directors in the Bayside area. Please ring Vicar Judith on 9589 4740,
day or night, do not hesitate to ring her.
