COVID safety
We are paying attention to fewer precautions than in the past.
Masks and Sanitiser: We have sanitiser on entry and you are welcome to wear a mask if you wish.
Communion: Communion is more familiar now - both elements are now taken. We do not used a shared cup.
Offering: We no longer collect an offering by passing an offering plate along the rows. We encourage electronic giving through the Anglican Development Fund, and a plate is available near the entry doors for those who wish to use cash or an offering envelope.
Hospitality: We are able to enjoy a cuppa together after our Sunday service. Please join us!

Child safety
St Michael's is committed to the highest standards of safety for our children, teens, volunteers and staff. We strongly condemn any form of abuse and are committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable people. All our staff and people who serve in our church complete training and required checks. We adhere to the safety and screening requirements of the Anglican Diocese of Melbourne. The Kooyoora Office of Professional Standards administers the Professional Standards Uniform legislation for the Diocese of Melbourne.
Volunteer Screening
At St Michael's our Parish Council members and all those who work with children undergo screening and training according to their role that is prescribed by the government and our diocese. This may include a Working with Children card, a Police Check (which we are authorised to conduct through CrimCheck in our church office), commitment to the diocese's Safe Ministry Code of Conduct and one or more of the three levels of online training also mandated by the diocese. For more information, please go to the Anglican Diocese of Melbourne Safe Ministry page.
Concerns and Reporting
If a child is in immediate danger, police should be called - phone 000.
A report should then be made to the Kooyoora Office of Professional Standards.
Report all concerns to Margaret Goode, St Michael’s Child Safety Officer: 0414 891 850.
Who can report abuse or a concern? Parents, teachers, volunteers, children - anyone.
If you wish to submit a written record of your concern, please use this form. Return your form to Margaret Goode, Child Safety Officer,
